Class description

This is a Wild Rice Retreat–hosted retreat, part of our thoughtfully curated programming. We proudly partner with skilled retreat leaders to bring guided experiences to our resort—designed to inspire, nourish, and support personal growth in alignment with our mission.

A Summer Camp for Adults – with Yoga, Nature, and Heart Coherence

Join long-time yoga teachers and friends Tanya & Jes for a transformative weekend in the WI North Woods. Together we’ll slow down, breathe deeply, and remember what is truly sacred.

This retreat is an attunement — a chance to reconnect with nature, your body, and your own radiant energy.  We’ll explore The 5 Elements in Nature: earth, water, fire, wind and space through yoga, meditation, yoga nidra, journaling, and daily walks in the woods. 

Create spaciousness within yourself and enhance your well-being from the inside out.  Tend to your heart, restore your energy, and soak up the final days of summer. Come join us! Everyone is welcome.

Tanya & Jes are hoping to add an extra ½ day Kayaking trip at the sea caves of the Lake Superior North Shore. This option can be added on later for an additional cost once they get the details.

biography

Tanya started practicing yoga since the early 90s and has been teaching since 1996. She has meditated since age 15, and has a long time daily practice. Tanya devotes her life to sharing the gifts of yoga, wellness and well-being with clarity, ease, and joy while keeping in mind the constant evolution of the soul.

Tanya was selected by Origin Magazine as one of the top 100 Yogis Changing the World in their “Powerful Leaders” issue. She is also a featured guest teacher on YogaInternational.com. You can take classes and tutorials online with her there.

YOGA TEACHER TRAINING & BACKGROUND

For over 30 years, Tanya has traveled and worked in a variety of foreign places from London to Wyoming to Portland to San Francisco, and has studied yoga with many respected teachers. She blends the rivers of Tantric Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda and the sacred texts such as the Yoga Sutras into one comprehensive study. Through this wisdom, Tanya specializes in helping students create a holistic practice based on their physical, energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. She continues to be a lifelong student and studies with many teachers channeling the sacred tradition of yoga, tantra and meditation.

Through this wisdom, Tanya specializes in helping students create a holistic practice based on their physical, energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. With training in Prenatal and Restorative yoga as well, she continues to study with Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Indu Arora, Judith Lasater, and many other teachers channeling the sacred tradition of yoga, tantra and meditation.

Jes Rosenberg Bio

Jessica is a yoga and mind-body educator, meditation instructor, intuitive coach, and mixed media artist based in Minnesota.  With a multidisciplinary background spanning product design, documentary storytelling, and the healing arts, she creates innovative wellbeing products and educational programming that solve real problems and carry meaningful social impact.  Discovery, invention, and living with intention are her way of life — and her favorite words say it simply: Breathe. Stretch. Play.

Practicing yoga since her teenage years and teaching for over 30 years, Jessica is a 500 E-RYT, YACEP, Reiki Master, and 200/500 RYS certified instructor who comes from a strong lineage of extraordinary mentors.  Known as a teacher's teacher, her passion for mindfulness, movement, and alignment has shaped a uniquely blended teaching style — one that empowers and inspires students to transform and reconnect with their embodied wisdom.

At the core of her somatic resourcing and breathwork practice is a heart-centered approach dedicated to creating transformative spaces where people can deeply connect and move toward wholeness.  As a wellbeing facilitator, Jes guides students to shift, evolve, and come home to themselves. And when she's not teaching, you'll find her cooking, traveling, dancing, camping, and soaking up the natural world. She brings that same spirit of joy and aliveness into every room she teaches in.
