Dog Policy

We would like to welcome you and your furry friend to Wild Rice Retreat and are so glad you’ll be staying in one of our dog-friendly lodgings. Please take a moment to review our dog policy so we ensure a great experience for all.

  • While we love all of your pets, at this time, we can only welcome dogs at Wild Rice Retreat.
  • If you plan on bringing your dog during your stay, please call us directly at 715-779-0178 to make your reservation.
  • A fee of $150 per stay, for up to two dogs, will be incurred in addition to the accommodation rate.

Guidelines:

  • For the well-being of the animal and comfort of other guests, no dogs may be left unattended at any time. It is also vital that a valid contact number of one owner is given and this number is monitored at all times.
  • When outside of your accommodation, dogs must stay on a leash at all times. We share our retreat with many species of wild animals native to the area, including bears, coyotes and deer. We ask that you do not allow your dog to chase or disturb the wildlife.
  • Dog owners are responsible for the proper removal and disposal of their pets' waste products. Waste should be disposed of in the dumpsters located at the south west of the property on the main entrance road. If you require dog waste bags please ask at the front desk in the main retreat center.
  • Only verified service animals are allowed in the main retreat center, the Peace Pod and the Sauna Haus.
  • Excessive barking or whining that leads to guest dissatisfaction will result in:

Cancelation of the reservation on the third complaint - If the pet is not quiet and we receive three noise complaints you will be asked to make alternative arrangements elsewhere. At the time of cancellation, the guest will be charged for the nights stayed and the current nights Room & Tax. Additional fees may apply should the disruptions lead to compensation to the disturbed guests.

  • Be aware that extra fees may be incurred should there be significant additional cleaning required or lost revenue due to excessive damage.
  • By the dog owner signing the agreement, you agree to abide by these policies, and agree to be responsible for any damage to property and/or personal injury to retreat employees and/or guests that you cause.
