Class description

This is a Wild Rice Retreat–hosted retreat, part of our thoughtfully curated programming. We proudly partner with skilled retreat leaders to bring guided experiences to our resort—designed to inspire, nourish, and support personal growth in alignment with our mission.

In a world that asks mothers, daughters, caregivers, and women to constantly give, this Mother’s Day retreat creates space to receive—rest, reflection, and reconnection in a supportive and loving community. Together, we gather to honor the many ways we nurture others, and to gently turn that same care inward.

Through gentle yoga, intentional breathwork, and deeply relaxing sound baths, we will slow the nervous system, quiet the mind, and create space for clarity and renewal. Each practice is designed to be accessible, grounding, and restorative; offering you time to breathe deeply, move softly, and simply be.

biography

I’m Laura Swanson, a yoga instructor and sound bath practitioner with a deep love for travel, hiking, and intentional movement. I’ve taught yoga internationally in Nepal, Belgium, Mexico, and Germany, and I incorporate meditation and breathwork into all of my classes to help students return to their natural baseline.

I’m a certified sound bath instructor and am especially passionate about blending Yin Yoga, meditation, and sound. My connection to Tibetan sound bowls began while hiking and training in the Himalayan mountains, an experience that continues to shape how I teach. My intention is always to create a safe, grounding space where students feel peace not only during class, but long after they leave.
