biography

Jennifer Gray, CEO and Program Director opened The Yoga Center of Minneapolis in September 2000 with the mission to help people find yoga and rediscover who they are truly meant to be. Her passion and drive to create a space where a community can gather and learn the tools and ancient teachings of yoga with uniquely qualified teachers and staff was realized again with the opening of The Yoga Center Retreat in 2018.

A wife, mother of three, yoga instructor, and business woman, Jennifer feels truly blessed to be living a full and meaningful life, teaching students and training teachers in collaboration with her new partners. “I cannot believe I get to do this again, only this time with hindsight and partners at my side. I am truly grateful.”

Jennifer has studied with many great yoga teachers and scholars of our time, including David Swenson, Doug Swenson, Larry Schultz, Janice Clarfield, Richard Freeman, Seane Corn, Gurmukh, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Dena Kingsberg and many others that she feels have each influenced her teaching style.

She has written curriculum and designed programs for both the yoga community and her community at large. She created a system for breaking down and teaching the Ashtanga Primary Series for beginners so that anyone who wanted to try this challenging form of yoga could come into a non-threatening environment and begin building confidence and understanding within each pose.

Cody Cooper specializes in helping others soften their hearts while welcoming in the true beauty of one’s soul light. As one opens to receive the divine abundance that is their birthright, self-transformation, self-love, and self-acceptance then begins to naturally unfold. This begins the journey of self-discovery, as one steps into who they truly are and have always been meant to be.
