CLASS DESCRIPTION

Discover the heart of yoga as a technology for living your best life as discovered by the ancients. We have two aspects to ourselves, the part that is always changing, becoming something, and navigating daily choices and their effects. This part we know well, and is us living in the outer world. Our minds are always changing, our moods, what and how we're eating, how and when we're resting, time of day and the seasons all contribute their influence to our fluctuating nature.

The practices and philosophy of yoga allow us to embody skillfulness in our actions to mitigate and even avoid unnecessary suffering- physically, mentally, and emotionally. Yoga also outlines the part of us rooted in being, this innate source that is not subject to the world of change, and is a well of wisdom, wellbeing, and bliss. Yoga aims to bridge these aspects of ourselves and offers we have all we need within. The practices are meant to efficiently expand consciousness, increase vitality, and empower our capacity to thrive in both the material and spiritual worlds

Join Amie Heeter for an opportunity to explore the depth of this promise through daily offerings of a full spectrum practice, relevant discussions, and how to translate these ancient teachings to become relevant to our modern day and the challenges we face. In addition to daily yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation, we will include Yoga Nidra, time outside with the inspired surroundings, and reflective writing to enhance our experience.
